Umow Lai has recently renewed their lease of office premises at 10 Yarra Street, South Yarra totalling some 1400 sqm. Umow Lai is a multi-disciplinary Building Services Engineering and Sustainability consultancy that provide design advice to the Australian and international markets. The professional services organisation provides value through high quality, cost effective, innovative and sustainable design solutions and the application of advanced design technologies to deliver outstanding outcomes. Their core services include mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and fire protection services whilst their other offerings include sustainability, ICT and fire engineering.
Umow Lai undertook an extensive review of their accommodation requirements and considered a number of alternative premises to accommodate prior to recommitting to their existing premises. Goodwin Property Advisory assisted in the premises review and negotiation process.
Orchard HRO provides outsourced recruitment and HR services and has relocated to new larger office premises totalling some 400 sqm at Level 8, 91 William Street, Melbourne. In planning the move Orchard considered renewing their existing lease whilst reviewing Melbourne CBD options for new premises. Orchard appointed Goodwin Property Advisory for both the renegotiation of the existing lease and the short-listing of suitable premises.
Ultimately, Orchard decided to relocate to new premises in William St and Goodwin provided advice on marketing pricing, lease conditions and term and incentives. Andrew Kraefft of Knight Frank acted for the building owner.
Brett Douglas, CEO of Orchard HRO says “I really value Chris for his deep knowledge and valuable advice. He is easy to work with and well regarded within the commercial property sector. From a value perspective, we have saved an enormous amount of time, received great advice and achieved a leasing deal that was very attractive”.
